to seattle and vancouver, bc and peter and kevin are going to bend, or and
then back to san francisco. To put it mildly, luck was definitely on my side
to run into those guys and for them to invite me along. New friends were
made and I hope to go riding with them again someday.
So, that brings me to the next stage of my journey. I really need to start
heading east as the 1000 miles that I have traveled have netted me about 11
miles closer to chicago.
In another unbelievable stroke of luck I talked last night with my friend
tad who lives with his wife in vancouver, wa (across the river from
portland). It turns out that he just finished a graduate program and doesn't
start work for a few weeks AND has a bmw 75s motorcycle set up for long
hauls. So, after a little "discussion" with his wife he's joining me for
about the next 600-700 miles and we're riding northeast to glacier national
park in northern montana. He and I are both super excited for this trip. He
knows all the best roads to take and we should be there by saturday...
